Flames close another long weekend with a 1-0 win against La Sierra

Anaheim, Calif. - On Friday, September 16, Flames played their first game of the weekend against the Master's University. While missing their captain of the team and the voice of the defense, Tae Young Kim, they finished the game with a 3-6 loss.

On Sunday, September 18, the weather after sundown was favoring our Flames in the game against La Sierra, finishing with a 1-0 victory with the goal made by Junmo Ryu "free kick" right in the top right corner in the second half of the game. After the amazing game winner shot  by Junmo Ryu, Flames managed to defend their goal until the end of the game.

"La Sierra defended very well to keep us frustrated and personally this was one of the most interesting games we have played so far playing against a team with tactics we have not faced before. Both teams took many strategic changes throughout the game and it was simply a match we had to be patient for one mistake to capitalize and we did it,' said head coach, Yangho Lee, after the game.

Next Friday, September 23, Flames will travel to  play against St. Katherine @3:30pm.
