Flames pick up an emotional victory over UC Merced in the 2OT with only 11 players on the roster

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Oct. 19 has been a successful day for Bethesda Men's soccer team and their fans. Flames have grabbed win over UC Merced 2-1 during the 2nd OT. With only 11 players on the roster, Flames came to the game mentally prepared to fight against opponents with nearly 30 men's roster. Although players didn't expect to play 110 minutes with no substitutions, full focus and cooperation with the coaching staff lead them to a victory

In the beginning of the game Flames seemed to feel a little out of place while missing their right defense, Konstantin Khan, due to receiving a red card after 2 yellow card worth fouls against SSU, but managed to pull themselves together to give another try in an overtime battle. Bethesda scorers of the day were: Cesar Pompa and Diogo PereiraRight after the game head coach, Yangho Lee, couldn't hold his joy and shared his victorious feeling with everyone on social media:

"Emotional win today. Very proud of my players who fought for 110 minutes with no substitutions against 30-men roster of UC Merced! Words can't describe how proud I am."

Nothing more to add to this motivational and accurate phrase. Flames will have a two day rest before a back-to-back game weekend against Providence Christian college on Saturday @2pm(Centennial Regional Park)  and Embry-Riddle o Sunday @3pm(Santa Ana Stadium).

Women's soccer team will also play Providence Christian College on Saturday @11:30am(Centennial Regional Park) and Embry-Riddle on Sunday @5:30pm(Santa Ana Stadium). See you there!
